Happy Valentine´s Day to my darling readers ( ´ ▽ ` )ﾉ°♥*

I got some colored fondant sweets left from Christmas and formed this nice arrangement of two hearts and a circle. The circle is supposed to be the "One True Love". It does not have to be a pink heart since if something is "true" it does not has to have an attractive color to arouse attention - the truth has its very own outstanding color for which i choose a plain, virgin white as a substitute.

Oh, and i am pretty much in love with heart-shaped accessories (●*∩_∩*●)

Meiji Yan Yan

There is still a huge amount of project work and other stuff needed to do left. Thats why i cannot blog as regularly as i would like to （￣へ￣）°
However, there is always some time left to have another sweet break for a sweet tooth like me (∪ ◡ ∪) ! I have a pink copic marker which is called sugared almond pink - doesnt it sound like something sweet to eat?!?

So here i have another sweet treat from meiji - the Yan Yan double cream biscuit sticks.
The double cream consists of chocolate and strawberry flavored cream.

I know that this is available in some asian food stores in Düsseldorf. Need to check that out when i am there. I shooted this first photo a while ago (→ yes, first take a photo and then eat! haha!) but for now i have to save it for a day when there is a better daylight setting. It already has fallen off my hand (¬_¬)°° so i hope that not all sticks are broken when i am going to open it, but we will see - surprise (~￣▽￣)~. . . . . . .

On the other day i could finally catch a pretty sunshine setting:
Yay, none of the sticks are broken!!! Everything looks fine ♥◡♥

The taste of the two creams are just average - nothing very special. I somehow expected a more intense flavor, but ok - its just a "snack" and the cream filling does not reach until the bottom of the packaging (O_ó)*. This was the Singapore version of it and i really wonder if there is a difference in taste between the licensend and the original origin product (¬_¬) .
→ Nevertheless, the packaging looks so cute and yummy!

Hey Ladies, i am back to blogging!!!
Last week was quite exhausting - 2 project deadlines and a surprise oversea visitor with whom i spend my rare free-time. We visited our local American Brand stores, tested the new opened bubbletea store BoboQ (first time i took a hot bubbletea - we have like -12C° temperature here in Germany right now - yes: minus degrees!! - and it was the best taste ever (*~▽~)!!!), and of course i took the chance to do some ninja photo shoots *^.^* - guess which store is this:

Majolica Majorca is the enchanted little sister make up brand by Shiseido. Due to it´s very cute and decorative design the main target are young ladies - from the very beginner (like me ^_^) to young professionals. My first encounter with this brand in the Philippines was just *♥ • * MAGICAL * • ♥*!
Majolica Majorca itself could be described as some kind of bewitched cosmetic brand.

This is the Majolica Majorca Pressed Pore Cover compact. Take a closer look at this georgous detailed packaging design (*■*)!

There is only one very light shade available. It feels very nice applied on skin, somehow slightly creamy texture (or maybe it´s because of the soft sponge (≧◡≦)*). Nothing to complain if you have normal or slightly oily, not too dry skin.
It´s my actual skincolor so you might not see a big difference on the left picture above. Therefore i just carefully dip my finger into the pan to let you see difference between the color of the powder and fingerskin (which is normally a bit reddish in color).

Purple Blue Terra Chips

It is late in the evening and i get hungry. What do i have in store? A package of mysterious
blue (actually they are purple as you can already see on the packaging) potatoe chips.
I got these very rare to find chips for christmas. Normally they are available at Galeria Kaufhof. Well, i have not seen them in person in the food section there, but i was told that you have to reserve and order them since they are always sold out.

They look pretty cool, but they taste quite simple:
just like ordinary potatoe chips added with some salt. Nevertheless, they are quite healthy.
All natural ingredients! I already know about these purple potatoes from the Philippines. There they are called Ube.

i added some nice food color and chocolate cream - the cream definitely turned out very well in consistency and taste

broken structure - these are mostly bits of almonds

Sweet preparations for Christmas Evening are done...well, not the very perfect result as i supposed it to be - but you can obviously see the charming handmade character.
I still believe that i might have misunderstood the meaning of the German word "unterheben" - next time i will check every specific meaning before i am going to start to ruin the whole process ~_~°

I finally used my skinfood jojoba pure nail laquer i got as a gift with purchase at skinfood a couple of months ago. The color definition is PK002. It is supposed to be a rose color, but for me it looks more like a rosy peach - depending on the light. Well, this is a very sheer nail laquer ( what i
somehow did not expect!) , so you need 2 or better 3 coats to cover your nails.

A nice decent color - but not sooo special for me (^。^) ...

Time to introduce some japanese sweets again:
This time the famous Pocky sticks by Glico. I bought them in the special sweets section of SM Departement store (Philippines). The flavors are strawberry and chocolate banana. The simple chocolate version is also available here in Germany ( here they are called Mikado).

The strawberry version looks cuter (yeah! it´s pink), but the chocolate banana tastes better!!

I recently discovered the very cute "Love Berry Magazine" while looking around my favorite japanese bookstore. It is actually a fashion magazine for teen girls (Vivi for example is more for young adults). This is the December issue which comes with a Liz Lisa doll beanie hat and a button. A perfect buy for me since i was looking for a new beanie hat for this cold winter.

A very slouchy beanie style hat which fits quite well on the first try. I was worried a bit that it
might be too small or too tight (like most european hats that i have ever tried on), but i was
quite surprised about the perfect fit.

Missha BB Cream

It is time to add some Cream to the Vernissage (≧◡≦)

You might remember that i visited Manila´s first Missha beauty store in September.
Finally i can do a little review about one of my purchases (i bought a BB cream and a powder foundation).

Let me introduce: Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream No. 21 (Light Beige)

First of all: I usually do not use liquid make-up that often! So i just giving a try to very special (asian) products, that most people would or have recommended.

It is Missha´s best selling BB cream. No. 21 was the lightest available shade in store and it perfectly matches my skintone. I only use a very small amount to cover some uneven parts
such as enlarged pore areas. It works quite fine for me. The best thing is: You really just need a very small amount of the product to get a good covering result!
However, it is not that easy to dose the small amount you want with a pump dispenser (-'_'-)

...i did not blend it, so you can see the actual texture on bare skin

I like the nice smell of this BB cream - and another fact:
This BB cream is best for a cold and dry european winter climate, since it has a somehow oily after effect on my skin (when i was in the Philippines -very hot and tropical country- this was not a very nice side effect).
All in all a really nice product for a european winter(!) skin. I am looking forward to compare it with other BB creams, but for now this amount will at least last for 1 year (~￣▽￣)~.

Finally i got my hands on the latest copy of Vivi. I really got worried not get it, and when i arrived at my local Japan Store there were only two pieces left ~ Lucky me (●*∩_∩*●) !
It is the november issue and it has two amazing freebies:
A detachable Murua collar (→ guess why i bought this magazine (*~▽~) ) and a litte mod´s hair sample.

The collar is made of velvet - a very good quality freebie!!

Teeth

Since my last post you all know that i love sweets. Therefore i need to do a post about teeth care. I somehow feel responsible for my dearest readers, so take good care of your teeth! ☻ᴥ☻
Try to avoid eating tons of sweets everyday, save up your desire for very special kind of sweets, something you will not get every day. This is what i do to improve my teeth care and i would recommend it to everybody who loves a big shiny smile. (─‿‿─)

Even my dentist did not recommend to do a bleaching treatment. I absolutely agree because i know that it actually damages the natural surface of a healthy tooth. You might know how it feels like when you brush your teeth to hard and then the dentist is about to do the simple cleaning treatment - you can feel a slight pain! This happened to me during my last visit at the dentist, he said: "You are brushing your teeth too hard, just be gentle!" - Ok, from now on i will take care of my brushing pressure ^^.

So this was my little dentist and tooth care story. (∪ ◡ ∪)

I love sweets, especially Japanese and Asian ones! From time to time i would like to introduce you my discoveries. Let me start with meiji Meltykiss in the taste of strawberry.

Very cute and handy packaging! Every piece is single packed. (*^ -^*)
However, i was absolutely sure that most of the pieces are melted, since they did not really store it at a very cool place at the SM Departement Store ( i am still wondering why they are not selling it at SM Hypermarket where all the usual food is).

Yeah, i was right! It has been melted or does this look like a cube? Well, now to the most important thing: How does it taste?

Uuuhm,... average. Only averange, not really a special taste of strawberry.
Maybe because they were not fresh enough (there even was no fluffy chocolate dust left like shown on the product image ).
Nevertheless, sorry my dears, at least this time i would not recommend it. (╯_╰)

Impressions of the Last Days

My stay in the Philippines has come to an end. I miss the tropical climate and all the palm
trees on the streets.

I got to know what it feels like being caught in mother natures trap.
No escape, just hope...

If you are looking for some really delicious toast or cake, you have to try Bread Talk!
I love their sweet toast. It is way bigger in size than the usual German toast.
And of course - cake! This chocolate cake tastes like heaven (≧◡≦)!

Very soft and 100% pure chocolate taste!
- why don´t we have such a kind of cake in Germany?!? （￣へ￣）

Shopping Experience

There really are a lot of "shop till you drop" possibilities here in the Philippines. I am talking about those big mega malls which of course provide endless shopping experience on a very high and exclusive level.

However, i think there might be those flea market / bazaar like places and little independend shops aside from those big chains, but i have not seen or heard about some as far as i know . . . where have all the bargains gone if there is no possibility to negotiate about prices ? ! ?
And there we are: in case you are thinking of being in bargain wonderland - you are totally wrong ( the only exception: Food ! ) . Ok , it depends where you want to shop and what you want. Nevertheless, if you know what you want there is absolutely no guarantee that you will find it where you suppose it to be found ! And if you dont know what you want and just strolling around and instead letting things find you - you will totally get lost in space ! !
Oh and i forgot: the huge and annoying amount of salesladies/man standing in every corner of a shop or departement in order to rush behind or next to you after less than 2 seconds in order to "help" you. This always totally freaking me out, because you aboslute cannot concentrate and make senseful decisions if you are in a dispute.

Found something i was searching for and guess what: of course not a bargain - why does not this surprise me. Well, i knew Missha is kinda pricey, but absolutely did not expect the following facts:

Obviously if your having a demo of pricey cosmetics products you have to pay for it - no one told me that it is not a service. In Germany you can test all products no matter expensive or not - for free! - otherwise you are notified to pay an additional fee! The additional fee in this case was not a great amount , but i am talking about principles! I somehow think that i only had to pay this extra fee because i am foreigner! If so this is absolutely a no-go!
VAT - the most annoying three letters you can think about. Not very unusual since we also have to pay VAT in Germany, but in Gemany VAT is always already included in the actual price you see on the product tag. So you can still decide whether it is too pricey or not. But when i bought my Missha products VAT was not included in the price shown at the price tag. So in the end this was the most expensive supposed-to-be-bargain i have ever purchased. I dont think that i will buy again from Missha here in the Philippines. There are way cheaper offers online!
Will do a review on the products as soon as i am back in Germany.

Sick in the Tropics

My dearest readers i have to apologize for the lack of updates!
The reason is quite simple: Fever and a very bad sore throat ಠ_ಠ
Feeling way better now . . . however, this time it was not a very pleasant vacation at all.
Too much rain and no chance to go to the beach . . . very sad face (´ヘ｀;)

So what else to do when you are bored and isolated . . . getting a manicure!
Nothing really special, just a simple pearly nude color with a glittery top coat. These were not
my own colors, i left all my fancy colors in Germany. I thought that i can find some new interesting here at Trinoma. I have read that they have China Glaze in their beauty section.
Well, when i was there i did not see any special outstanding colors (¬_¬) . . .

Food Criteria

Where to eat in Manila or the Philippines in general . . .
well, at least the best places for good food are located in one
of the big malls. However, sensitive people from abroad have to be carefull with what they choose to eat and drink. Secure drinks are always those which are served in a bottle or can.
The photograph above was taken at Five Cows which really serves good and tasty food.
I recommend Fish Mandala with curry ( unfortunately, i forgot to take some photos of the meals ) .

When it comes to food, always look for a meal you are familiar with and always take a closer look on the restaurants interior. If it does not suit your sense of cleanness better go for another restaurant. This is the best way to prevent you from allergic reactions due to bad hygienic circumstances.

Here another example for a restaurant i would always recommend because of
its high standard of cleanness and service:

This is Max´s Restaurant - a very famous restaurant here in the Philippines. They serve the best fried chicken and crab meat fried rice. I also love their mango juice, which i always order.

Time for a nice journey to SM City North Edsa. This is one of Philippines largest mall complexes .
There was not any traffic (not worth to mention, because we needed less than an hour to get there). As you can see on the photos almost no other cars around. I think it was like 1:00 pm

Here we are . . . you can see the blue and white SM logo.

Always wear flat shoes when you are about to shop in a huge mall (^_^) ! !

Banana Trees and Sushi

Banana trees are growing everywhere here in the Philippines. They are also used as a food wrapping or simply as a plate (usually served on a normal plate).
Just a side note: when i was taking this photo the temperature was about 30°C and there was a relative humidity of 65% . . . welcome to the rain forest ! ! !

Had some sushi at "Kitaro Sushi". First thing i noticed was the very nice arrangement.
In Germany you rarely see any special decoration stuff except the pure food itself and the basics like ginger (which was not included here as you can see) and of course wasabi.

Here you see the very nice deoration in detail:
a nice green fence which somehow reminds me of a banana tree leaf (because of the structure).

Finally packing my suitcase and getting ready for the flight. It will be a very looooong flight till Manila.
But the best thing is, that we will arrive late in the afternoon, so there is still some daytime left.
However i heard, that it is still raining there. Aaah, thats really annoying (⋋▂⋌)!!!

Well, it is all about the little details :) Will have a look for a good mascara.
I will specialize myself in asian cosmetics as soon as i am in the Philippines since
i cannot remember having any problems using beauty products from there :D

Yesterday i went out wearing these costumized pumps. They are originally plain turqoise green and are quite comfy. While tidying up i found those pink clip-on bows...Having a candy color flash right now :)

I dont think that i am going to wear them when travelling, because you all know what happens when your having a seat for more than 7 hours. Chucks would be a better choice...

Bubblegum Ice Cream

a bright red yummy bubblegum coat outside and vanilla & strawberry icecream inside :)

Es wird heiß in Deutschland. Da liegt es nahe sich mit leckerer
Eis Creme abzukühlen. Bum Bum ist eine relativ beliebte Eis
am Stiel Sorte, die schon ziemlich lange hierzulande produziert
wird. Als ich klein war hab ich die schon immer gern gegessen.
Es gibt sogar eine Geschmacksvariante in Banane ( selbstvertändlich
in leuchtendem Gelb!), aber die ist ziemlich schwer zu finden.
Irgendwann werd ich diese aber auch mal probieren.

It´s getting hot in Germany. So nothing is better to cool down with
some yummy ice cream. Bum Bum is quite a famous ice cream which
is still produced here since i was little. There is also a very rare
to find banana taste version ( in bright yellow, of course!) which i
want to test one day.

Letzte Woche war ich kurz zu Besuch im Loop 5 - und es war wirklich toll :)
Ich bin ein großer Fan von modernem und futuristischem Design, daher
war das für mich etwas wirklich besonderes. Hoffentlich komme ich bald
mal wieder dort hin um noch weitere schöne Fotos zu machen.

Last week i had a short visit at Loop 5 - and it was really amzing :)
I am a big fan of futuristic and modern design so this really was
something special. Hope to come back there soon to take some
more photos of the interior design.

Anny Nail Polish in Mainhattan

Die Anny Nagellacke sind da. Angekündigt als die neue Trend Nagellack
Marke exklusiv nur bei Douglas erhältlich. Besser als Essie? - Nun, wir werden
sehen. Ich habe die Woche mal spontan wild herum probiert. Die dunklen
Farben decken am Besten. Aber zwei Schichten sind Pflicht. Das Lila oben
ist nur mit einer Schicht aufgetragen, und man sieht durch den Nagel.
Bei den anderen Farben seht selbst :)
Bin mal gespannt was die Farbauswahl noch so hergibt, denn angeblich soll
es ja eine Auswahl von über 100 Farben geben.

see. Last week i randomly tried some colors. The darker colors cover best,
but two layers are a must. The purple color above was applied with just one
layer and you can see slightly through the nail. Have a look at the other
colors i tested :)
I am so thrilled about the color selection, which was announced to be a
selection of over 100 different colors. Let´s see what comes next.

Ein bisschen Zeit zum Bloggen :)
Heute mal wieder ein Ring of the Day spezial mit zwei besonderen Ringen.
Komme leider nicht oft dazu Ringe zu tragen da ich im Moment viel mit
hartnäckiger Farbe arbeite und bei der momentanen Kälte am Morgen
Handschuhe trage.

Today again another Ring of the Day special with two amazing rings.
At the moment i cannot wear rings often because i am working with strong painting
colors. Anyway, early in the morning it is still too cold to go out and wearing
no gloves.

Endlich wieder fit und die wichtigsten Abgabetermine hinter mir :)
Habe mir mal wieder Zeit genommen für einen kleinen Schnäppchen Bummel.
Und siehe da: Das Beanie, das mir schon länger gefallen hat, war nun
auch auf 70% reduziert!! Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen, dass sich Warten
definitv lohnt! :D

ROTD 1 - Ring of the Day - January

Hallo verehrte Bloggerwelt, ich führe hier nun eine neue Kategorie ein, nach dem unter Beauty Bloggern bekannten FOTD aka Face of the Day, NOTD aka Nail of the Day, gibt es hier ab heute den: ROTD - Ring of the Day!

Heute mein Schmuckstück für den Monat Januar. Jeden Monat stelle ich Euch einen besonderen Vertreter meiner Ring Familie vor. Dieser wird dann fotografisch stilecht unter einem bestimmten Motto in Szene gesetzt. Das heutige Motto:

"Tea Party"

Ring ( Accessorize ), Tee ( Arizona Green Tea )

Auf Nagellack habe ich mal bewusst verzichtet, denn das wäre mir dann doch zu viel des Guten. Ein Hoch auf die Natürlichkeit :) Obwohl ich im Nachhinein zugeben muss, ein bisschen Gold auf den Nägeln passend zur Ringfassung und in Kontrast zur mintigen Farbe wäre Durchaus schön anzusehen ^^*.
